Surrender Document

Picture
During the battle at Fort Necessity, Washington and his men were being dominated by the French.  The French were taking up positions in the wooded areas, and along the hillside.  While all this was going on it was pouring down rain, and all of it was running down into the fort making it a mud hole. After the fight was wearing down and the British was out of ammounition Washington decided to surrender.  Washington searched for a French speaking solider in his regiment to write the document. In the second paragraph Washington denied all speculations of his assassination of French officer Jumonville. With the singing out this document from both sides, this problem was solved.
